We're working with a private equity backed global healthcare industry client in their efforts to hire a Director of Talent Management. This role will be based in Midtown. This role will report to the company's Chief HR Officer, and although starting as an individual contributor, there will be an opportunity to add a resource or two to the team. This will support a global population of nearly 2000 employees, which is expected to grow through acquisition of and/or partnerships with other entities. While the Talent Management function is established at this company, our client is looking to revamp what is in place to align the organization's talent and competencies with a new set of corporate values that is being reintroduced to the company. Talent development is critical to their latest private equity investor and hence, the Board and executive leadership are critical supporters of the success of this function.
Key mandates for the role will entail implementation of a new performance management tool that is aligned to the company's vision, employee engagement and cultural evolution based on these new values, and the implementation of succession planning. Leadership development will be a critical focus of this role once the foundation for talent management has been established. Our client is seeking a thought leader and strategic partner who can build and drive this function. Given the lean team, the ideal candidate will have a mix of large & small company experience. 10+ years of experience in the talent management space is required. Occasional travel is a requirement of the role, both domestic and global, with the ability to work out of the company's Long Island location about 40% of the time. This is an incredible ground floor opportunity to build out the talent management function alongside a highly energized executive leadership team in a mission-based organization.
