VP of People
My client (a fast-growing health food brand with large financial backing) is seeking a VP of People to head up their North American HR department. Reporting to the CEO, you will lead the people agenda for around 700 associates, including both corporate functions and food production centers. This position can sit anywhere in the US but will require regular travel across the country.
Whilst the company has been around for over a decade and recently grew through M&A activity to increase market share, the business maintains its agile start-up nature. They have spent the last half year successfully cleaning up compliance deficiencies and are now seeking someone to develop the future people agenda and organizational design further as they prepare for ongoing expansion.
This broad role is a unique combination of leadership, strategy, and grit. The company has a great culture, a strong entrepreneurial spirit and there is a lot of opportunity to advance the functions and bring about positive change, without bureaucracy and ‘red tape’. It would suit a lively leader keen to work closely with a people-centric CEO in a fast-paced environment. Previous experience within consumer goods, food production and/or manufacturing is essential. Demonstrated skills across broad HR disciplines, including organizational design, talent and leadership development, HR process design and diversity, inclusion and belonging are required. This individual should have experience overseeing both a salaried and hourly non-union population too.
On offer is a strong base salary, bonus, LTI’s and remote working conditions, alongside domestic travel.
