The Incapacity Payment Specialist position plays a pivotal role in the Self Insured Workers Compensation Claims and Injury Management team, providing support to claim managers in the end to end calculation and determination of incapacity entitlements.
This position is an end to end function which sits within the claims team. The purpose of the Incapacity specialist is to work collaboratively with claims, injury management, injured workers, global business services and the wider business to ensure that the correct compensation is paid every fortnight in accordance with legislation.
You will need excellent attention to detail, adherence to processes and procedures, strong communication and collaboration skills to succeed in this role. You will need to consistently demonstrate the ability to interpret, collate and deliver outcomes on a regular basis.
This position is accountable for ensuring injured workers who are entitled to compensation benefits are paid correctly in accordance with the legislation of the SRC Act 1988. You will need to follow processes and procedures to ensure you calculate entitlements correctly. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic is required to be successful in this role.
At times there will be other administration duties which will include assisting the broader Business Support team in their day to day administrative functions.

- Participating in performance development planning and continuous improvement
- This role requires someone to be very organised throughout the week to meet deadlines
- It will be expected that you can work autonomously in completing all tasks involved within the role
