Role: HR Business Partner
Location: Chicago, IL
In Office Schedule: 3 days on site
Compensation Range: $170-200k base plus bonus
Our client is an established diversified trading firm that has been on an exponential growth trajectory for the past four years and continue to reach great heights.
They’re seeking an HR Business Partner to join their dynamic global team. In this role, you’ll be the point person for the trading population within the firm as a full cycle HRBP.
As an HR Business Partner, you will:
- Partner with senior stakeholders to understand business priorities and deliver strategic, high‑impact HR support.
- Advise managers on performance management, employee relations, organizational design, and team development.
- Lead core talent processes, including performance reviews, promotions, compensation, and workforce planning.
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on hiring strategies and selection for key roles.
- Use data and insights to identify trends, diagnose issues, and recommend actionable people solutions.
- Support employee development by partnering with L&D to identify skill gaps and implement targeted programs.
- Ensure consistent, fair application of HR policies while fostering a positive, performance‑driven culture.
- Contribute to firm‑wide HR initiatives that enhance engagement, operational excellence, and organizational health.

Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree and 8-10+ years of HRBP experience supporting trading or front‑office teams.
- Strong business acumen and the ability to align people strategies with fast‑paced commercial priorities.
- Demonstrated experience advising leaders on performance, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
- Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all levels.
- High discretion, sound judgment, and a solutions‑oriented approach to complex issues.
- Comfort navigating a dynamic, high‑intensity environment with shifting needs.
- Proficiency with HR data, analytics, and HRIS/ATS systems.
