Frazer Jones are partnering with an international insurance business to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner on a 9‑month fixed‑term contract, covering a period of maternity leave. Supporting Specialty functions, this role offers a broad, end‑to‑end HR Business Partner remit with genuine exposure to senior stakeholders.
The role follows a hybrid working model, with four days based in the office and one day working from home, reflecting the highly collaborative and relationship‑driven nature of the business.
Reporting to the Head of HR, you will balance hands‑on operational HR delivery with involvement in strategic people initiatives, making this an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional seeking a high‑impact fixed‑term assignment.
The role
As the HR Business Partner, you will own the HR relationship for your allocated business areas, delivering a proactive, commercially focused HR service aligned to the wider EMEA people strategy. Acting as a trusted advisor, you will support leaders to build capability, manage change and embed a high‑performance culture.
Key responsibilities
- Build strong, trusted relationships with leaders, managers and employees across your business areas
- Provide pragmatic, commercially informed HR advice, balancing best practice with business priorities
- Manage Employee Relations cases. Advise on employment legislation and manage complex or escalated ER cases, including appeals and conflict resolution
- Work with leadership teams to drive engagement, effectiveness and continuous improvement
- Collaborate with HR Centres of Excellence to ensure consistent and high‑quality HR service delivery
- Support the design and delivery of change management plans for HR and business initiatives
- Lead the execution of core HR processes and initiatives, including performance management, talent and succession planning, compensation cycles, DE&I and wellbeing
- Partner with managers on recruitment, talent development and retention strategies
- Support effective performance management through goal setting, feedback and capability building
- Contribute to workforce planning and succession planning alongside talent and global HR partners
About you
- Experienced HR Business Partner or HR Generalist with a strong track record of advising senior leaders
- Extensive experience from the Insurance industry
- Broad HR knowledge, with particular strength in employee relations and UK employment law
- Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Proactive, well‑organised and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment
