We are partnering with a high-growth, top-tier management consulting firm to appoint an experienced Resource Manager to join their London team. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the business, offering excellent visibility with senior leadership and the opportunity to shape how talent is deployed across a dynamic project portfolio.

The Opportunity

This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded Resource Manager to take ownership of staffing strategy across consulting teams. You will play a key role in balancing client demand, consultant development, and overall business performance.

The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders while ensuring optimal utilisation and effective workforce planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end resource management process across multiple consulting teams
  • Partner closely with Partners and Engagement Managers to align staffing with project requirements and pipeline demand
  • Proactively monitor utilisation, managing bench and identifying resourcing risks and gaps
  • Deliver forward-looking capacity and demand planning insights to support business growth
  • Balance project needs with individual development goals to support talent retention and progression
  • Provide reporting and analytics to inform hiring and workforce strategy
  • Continuously improve resourcing processes, tools, and governance frameworks

Candidate Profile

  • Proven experience in resource management, workforce planning, or scheduling, ideally within consulting or professional services
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders

  • Strong analytical capability, with experience using resourcing or workforce management tools
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
