Senior Compensation Associate
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Compensation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join a growing FinTech organization. This role is a unique opportunity to help build our compensation philosophy and frameworks from the ground up. You will partner directly with the Head of Compensation to design and implement strategies that align with our business goals, attract top talent, and reward performance in a competitive industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Compensation Strategy & Philosophy
- Collaborate with the Head of Compensation to design and establish a holistic compensation philosophy tailored to a high-growth FinTech environment.
- Develop scalable frameworks that balance market competitiveness with internal equity.
- Broad-Based Compensation
- Manage salary structures, pay ranges, and compensation programs across all levels of the organization.
- Conduct regular compensation reviews to ensure alignment with market trends and business needs.
- Bonus & Incentive Programs
- Support annual and ad-hoc bonus reviews, ensuring fairness, transparency, and alignment with performance outcomes.
- Partner with HR and Finance to model incentive scenarios and track program effectiveness.
- Equity Compensation
- Assist in the design and administration of equity programs, including stock options and RSUs.
- Benchmark equity practices against industry peers to maintain competitiveness.
- Surveying & Benchmarking
- Lead participation in compensation surveys and analyze results to provide actionable insights.
- Benchmark roles against market data to ensure pay practices remain competitive.
- Job Architecture, Leveling & Grading
- Contribute to the development of job architecture frameworks, including leveling and grading structures.
- Partner with HR Business Partners to ensure consistency in role definitions and career paths.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in compensation, preferably within FinTech, financial services, or high-growth technology companies.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel and compensation tools.
- Experience with equity compensation programs and survey participation.
- Knowledge of job architecture, leveling, and grading frameworks.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
