This newly created role will support two established pension arrangements (one DB and one DC scheme &#8211; both open) with combined assets of approximately \u00a31.5bn and around 4,500 members.<\/p>\n<p>Although offered initially as a 12-month fixed-term contract, the organisation views this as a long-term requirement and is hopeful the role will either be extended or converted into a permanent position. This is a common route into the organisation and one which has provided many employees with a long-term career.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The Role<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Working closely with senior Reward professionals, you will help ensure the organisation&#8217;s retirement benefits remain well-governed, competitive and effectively communicated.<\/p>\n<p>Your responsibilities will include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supporting the day-to-day management of the DB and DC pension schemes.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating key annual activities including benefit statements, actuarial valuations, audits and annual reports.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting pension committee meetings, governance processes and documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Managing relationships with pension administrators, advisers and other external providers.<\/li>\n<li>Producing clear and engaging pension communications for members.<\/li>\n<li>Responding to complex member and stakeholder queries.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting pension policy development and benefits projects.<\/li>\n<li>Delivering pension education and financial wellbeing initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining pension knowledge resources, guidance materials and intranet content.<\/li>\n<li>Contributing to benchmarking exercises and strategic benefits reviews.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>About You<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>You will likely bring:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Significant experience within pensions consultancy or in-house pensions management.<\/li>\n<li>Strong knowledge of DB and DC pension arrangements.<\/li>\n<li>Experience supporting trustees or pension governance committees.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.<\/li>\n<li>Experience writing member communications and delivering presentations or training.<\/li>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.<\/li>\n<li>A collaborative, consultative and low-ego approach to working with stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>A PMI qualification (or equivalent) would be advantageous but is not essential.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Why Join?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is an opportunity to work on pension arrangements of real scale and importance while joining an organisation known for its collaborative culture, international outlook and commitment to employee wellbeing.<\/p>\n<p>You&#8217;ll benefit from:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Meaningful and intellectually stimulating work.<\/li>\n<li>Exposure to senior stakeholders and strategic decision-making.<\/li>\n<li>A highly flexible hybrid working model built on trust and autonomy.<\/li>\n<li>Outstanding Canary Wharf offices and excellent on-site facilities, including a heavily subsidised staff restaurant.<\/li>\n<li>A diverse, inclusive and genuinely supportive working environment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you&#8217;re looking for a position where you can apply your pensions expertise while contributing to the ongoing development of a significant retirement programme, this role offers a unique and rewarding opportunity.
