This is a highly visible role where you&#8217;ll work directly with leaders and employees, influencing business decisions, driving engagement, and navigating complex people challenges.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">This is not a role for someone who prefers to stay behind a desk. You&#8217;ll spend the majority of your time out in the business, building relationships, coaching managers, supporting organisational change, and ensuring people strategies deliver meaningful results.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">This role suits a business partner who enjoys balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, has strong employee relations expertise, and are comfortable operating in a unionised environment.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 12px\">What You&#8217;ll Be Doing<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">As the senior HR lead for your business areas, you will:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Partner with operational and senior leaders to drive people performance and business outcomes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Manage the full employee lifecycle from recruitment to exit<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Lead complex employee and industrial relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance and consultation processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Build and maintain effective relationships with recognised trade unions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Support organisational change initiatives, restructures and succession planning<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Provide expert advice on TUPE transfers and people-related risks<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Coach and develop managers to confidently handle day-to-day people matters<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Drive employee engagement and retention initiatives<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Act as a trusted advisor, challenging and influencing stakeholders where appropriate<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Identify opportunities for continuous improvement across HR processes and practices<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 12px\">What We&#8217;re Looking For<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">You&#8217;ll be a confident and credible HR professional with experience in a business partnering role across a multi-sited businesses with union presence, ideally from transport, aviation, manufacturing or similar sectors. <\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Significant HR Business Partner experience within a unionised, operational environment<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Strong employee relations and industrial relations expertise<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Experience of collective bargaining and working with trade unions<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">Sound knowledge of TUPE and organisational change processes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">A track record of managing complex HR casework from start to finish<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">The ability to influence and build trust with stakeholders at all levels<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">A proactive, visible leadership style and a passion for being close to the business<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">CIPD Level 7 qualification (or equivalent experience)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 12px\">This is an opportunity to step into a genuinely impactful HR leadership role where your expertise will shape culture, employee experience, and business performance. You&#8217;ll work alongside committed operational leaders, influence key decisions, and help create an engaged and high-performing workforce.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 12px\">Location &amp; Travel<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/p>\n<p><strong style=\"font-size: 12px\">Hybrid<\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 12px\"> &#8211; 3 days a week in office &#8211; North West London with travel to Wales twice a month.
