Thea and Samantha provided insights and examples of the challenges dealing with menopause in the workplace and ways to help support the wellbeing of mid-life working women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table><tbody><tr><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/oliver-dev.s3.amazonaws.com\/thumbs\/500x500\/47829ce5-cc9a-4127-b45f-716c7e290c81.jpeg\"><\/td><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/oliver-dev.s3.amazonaws.com\/thumbs\/500x500\/37369674-61f0-4f61-85d0-1e438e39fd66.jpeg\"><\/td><td><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/oliver-dev.s3.amazonaws.com\/thumbs\/500x500\/1f339eea-fe26-4ede-aede-79ea129a2ffa.jpeg\"><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Menopause is an interesting but challenging topic, because it will affect&nbsp;<strong>every<\/strong>&nbsp;woman in some way or another, yet little is done strategically to address it or support it; within the organisational ecosystem. Culturally and historically, it is a topic not even discussed on a personal level, let alone professionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Women have so much to contribute in the workspace, regardless of their hormonal status or age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The discussion really highlighted the fact that communication and education is key, and that women need to feel empowered to handle this situation as they go through it, rather than feel shame to admit they are going through it. In a time where the world has encountered a pandemic on a global scale, it further reiterates the power of health, wellbeing, community and mutual support, rather than segregation.
