These updates apply to the subclass 417 visa and are designed to make the experience more flexible and accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the key changes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Age limit extended<\/strong>: UK passport holders can now apply between the ages of 18 and 35. This wider age range gives more British nationals the chance to <a href=\"https:\/\/immi.homeaffairs.gov.au\/what-we-do\/whm-program\/latest-news\/arrangements-uk-passport-holders\">live and work in Australia<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No more specified work<\/strong>: previously, visa holders had to complete farm work or other jobs in regional areas to qualify for a <a href=\"https:\/\/immi.homeaffairs.gov.au\/visas\/getting-a-visa\/visa-listing\/work-holiday-417\">second or third Working Holiday visa<\/a>. That requirement has now been removed for UK citizens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maximum stay increased<\/strong>: Working Holiday visa holders can now <a href=\"https:\/\/immi.homeaffairs.gov.au\/what-we-do\/whm-program\/latest-news\/arrangements-uk-passport-holders\">stay in Australia for up to three years<\/a> by applying for three separate 12-month visas. This visa allows eligible applicants aged 18 to 35 to live and work in the UK for up to two years with the option to extend for an additional year if you&#8217;re from Australia (as well as Canada or New Zealand).
