These updates apply to the subclass 417 visa and are designed to make the experience more flexible and accessible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here are the key changes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Age limit extended<\/strong>: UK passport holders can now apply between the ages of 18 and 35. This wider age range gives more British nationals the chance to <a href=\"https:\/\/immi.homeaffairs.gov.au\/what-we-do\/whm-program\/latest-news\/arrangements-uk-passport-holders\">live and work in Australia<\/a>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>No more specified work<\/strong>: previously, visa holders had to complete farm work or other jobs in regional areas to qualify for a <a href=\"https:\/\/immi.homeaffairs.gov.au\/visas\/getting-a-visa\/visa-listing\/work-holiday-417\">second or third Working Holiday visa<\/a>. That requirement has now been removed for UK citizens.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Maximum stay increased<\/strong>: Working Holiday visa holders can now <a href=\"https:\/\/immi.homeaffairs.gov.au\/what-we-do\/whm-program\/latest-news\/arrangements-uk-passport-holders\">stay in Australia for up to three years<\/a> by applying for three separate 12-month visas.
