Thames Valley and M4 Corridor Salary Survey

March 24, 2022

As we reflect on the previous year, the one thing that has stood out has been the continuous growth in the Thames Valley and M4 Corridor regions, since 2017 this has been strong and steady, around 20% across all markets.

Already predictions are showing the region becoming increasingly popular with businesses either relocating or those already trading and requiring larger office space due to growth. Strong transport links have contributed to the number of businesses who enjoy working in this area as well as the cost of office space being more reasonable than a central City location.

Some positive news for businesses who are hiring is that we have also seen an increase of top talent requesting to work in this area, only a few years ago there wasn’t such an incentive to work regionally, but now with better office space, parking and local facilities as well as the draw of impressive successful international businesses and competitive remuneration packages, candidates are increasingly looking at the options of working closer to home and outside of London when reviewing their job search. This in turn is a great positive for businesses wishing to recruit.

All in all, 2020 and beyond looks positive at this moment in time. It is hard to predict what will happen with some major economic factors planned in the first half of the year, but outlook remains positive and as far as we can see, it is business as usual.
