Location: New Jersey or New York

NJ: 2-3 days onsite

NY: As needed onsite

Duration: 6-month contract

Compensation: Negotiable (based on experience)

Overview

An organization is seeking an experienced Executive Compensation & Benefits Specialist to support compensation planning and benefits administration for senior leadership. This role focuses on ensuring smooth execution of executive pay programs, performance cycles, and benefit offerings in a fast-paced financial services environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support executive compensation processes, including salary reviews, bonus cycles, and long-term incentive programs
  • Assist in coordinating performance review cycles for senior leaders, including tracking goals and evaluations
  • Partner with HR, payroll, and finance teams to ensure accurate compensation processing and reporting
  • Maintain and analyze compensation data, preparing reports for leadership review
  • Help administer deferred compensation and executive retirement plans, including enrollments and distributions
  • Liaise with external vendors and third-party administrators to support benefits programs
  • Monitor timelines, documentation, and compliance requirements related to executive compensation and benefits
  • Assist with specialized compensation matters such as off-cycle payments, transitions, or retirements
  • Support expense tracking, invoicing, and budgeting related to compensation and benefits programs
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive executive data

Required Qualifications

  • Prior experience in executive compensation, benefits, or HR operations
  • Financial services industry experience is required
  • Strong understanding of incentive compensation structures and benefits programs
  • Experience working with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday preferred) and advanced Excel skills
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and organizational abilities
  • Ability to work effectively with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
