Demystifying Menopause in the Workplace.

For International Women’s Day 2022 (IWD2022) we are dedicating the month of March to discuss the hidden issues that impact women in the workplace. In this webinar, we speak to Bernadette Thomas, Wellbeing Expert from The Wellbeing Games, and a small panel on how menopause impacts women in the workplace and what your organisation can do to support them during this time. 

In the webinar we will:
• Define menopause and perimenopause – it’s not just an issue that affects women 
• Explore the 34 recognised symptoms and how these impact women at home and work  
• The hidden cost to business 
• Address what organisations can do to promote and retain more women within this demographic in the workforce & how this benefits business

Bernadette Thomas
Wellbeing and HR Expert, Executive Coach, Founder & CEO – Rosby Consulting & The Wellbeing Games 

Bernadette Thomas has 20 years’ experience in HR within Australia & the UK partnering with leaders to improve their organisational performance through cultural transformation – from strategic plans to implementation. Providing improved wellbeing outcomes for their employees, their teams, and the business. Bernadette supports global organisations on creating, designing, and delivering a comprehensive Menopause Strategy to develop domestic policies, train managers, create working groups and provide individual coaching to women, trans and intersex people going through perimenopause and the menopause.

Dr Sonia Davison
Endocrinologist (MBBS, FRACP, PhD) – Jean Hailes Medical Centre

Dr Sonia Davison is an endocrinologist at the Jean Hailes Medical Centre and her interests include gynaecological and general endocrinology. She is also a Senior Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Women’s Health Research Program, Monash University where her research focus is on women’s health which includes health issues at mid-life and beyond. Dr Davison is President of the Australasian Menopause Society (AMS).

She has a deep understanding of the complexities of organisations and the personal and professional opportunities that exist within.
