This is a remarkable opportunity for a visionary Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead a transformative HR journey within a large, mission-driven organization. Based in Singapore, this role is pivotal in shaping the people strategy for a substantial workforce, driving cultural and digital transformation, and ensuring sustainable growth through strategic workforce planning and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) will craft the people strategy for the workforce, spearheading cultural and digital transformation within an HR team of 75. This role encompasses strategic workforce planning, operational excellence, and managing a diverse workforce. As a key advisor to the CEO, the CHRO will develop and execute HR strategies aligned with organizational goals, leveraging commercial acumen to enhance business performance and employee engagement.

The CHRO will modernize the HR function, overseeing process redesign, capability building, and digital enablement. They will ensure data-driven decision-making through a new or upgraded HRIS and collaborate with business leaders on workforce planning and succession strategies. Providing HR leadership for a decentralized workforce, the CHRO will implement scalable HR practices, enhance workforce engagement, and drive a high-performance talent strategy focused on acquisition, development, and retention, while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Ideal Profile

This role is open to Singaporeans only.

Depth of experience in large, Singapore-headquartered companies is a must-have.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of 18 years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in a senior HR leadership role. The ideal candidate can clearly articulate a proven track record in successfully leading large HR teams (minimum 30 to 50 members) and has driven large-scale change management and workforce transformation projects. You should have demonstrated expertise in overseeing the end-to-end implementation of an enhanced or new HRIS. You must also be confident in the following areas: workforce planning, HR data/reporting/analytics, and organisational development. Extensive experience managing HR operations for a large, complex, and diverse (rank-and-file as well as white-collar) workforce is essential, along with strong commercial acumen to align HR initiatives to business directions. Finally, as a CHRO, you have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to inspire and engage employees across all levels to foster a positive workplace culture.
