HR Data and Information Systems Associate
Purpose of the Role
To manage the day-to-day operations of HR data, ensuring its accuracy and integrity within the HRIS, and to develop and deliver reports that support informed decision-making across the business.
To provide generalist HR support across operational and administrative tasks.
To offer backup support for monthly payroll management.
Key Responsibilities
HRIS Administration
- Collaborate with HR and stakeholders to assess HRIS needs.
- Support the implementation of a new HRIS, including system configuration, data migration, and user acceptance testing.
- Maintain and analyse HR data, ensuring integrity and accuracy.
- Deliver HRIS training to HR and wider business users.
- Monitor system performance and resolve issues with IT and external vendors.
- Manage vendor relationships to ensure optimal service and value.
- Administer user accounts, access permissions, and employee data updates.
- Design and implement efficient HR processes and systems.
- Partner with IT to optimise HRIS workflows and test new integrations.
- Ensure data compliance with legislative requirements.
- Securely record and store HR data, including attendance and performance metrics.
- Conduct audits of HR processes and documentation as needed.
- Research and recommend HRIS improvements and technical enhancements.
- Contribute to the development of HR practices and procedures.
HR Data & Information Systems
- Handle sensitive and confidential HR data professionally.
- Respond to HR system queries, escalating when necessary, and ensure timely communication.
- Proactively enhance reporting capabilities to support business decisions.
- Provide ad hoc reports and data analysis across departments.
- Ensure accurate input of all non-self-service data into HRIS and related systems.
- Establish audit processes to maintain data integrity (e.g., four-eyes principle).
Payroll Support
- Assist the Payroll & Benefits Advisor with payroll and pension processes for UK, US, and Canada.
- Take full responsibility for payroll and pensions in the advisor’s absence.
- Maintain working knowledge of payroll processes to ensure continuity during unplanned leave.
Project Support
- Contribute to HR projects throughout the year as required.

Required Skills & Knowledge
- Experience in HR data and operations roles.
- Proven track record as an HRIS Systems Administrator, ideally with Workday experience.
- Intermediate-level Excel proficiency.
- Strong understanding of HR processes, data management, and reporting.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Familiarity with compensation, payroll, and benefits.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Numeracy skills.
