I work within the third sector team at Frazer Jones to grow the HR recruitment space around all not for profit organisations. This includes charities, regulators, NGO’s and education and this is where my experience and passion lie. I collaborate with the organisations to ensure we attract the best talent across all sectors to offer a diverse workforce and widen the scope of opportunity for HR professionals within the sector.
Typically, this includes HR generalists, learning and development specialists, talent acquisition and recruitment managers alongside business partners. I have also completed searches on digital content training managers and workforce planning managers that sit alongside the HR and L&D function.
Since 2005 I have worked within recruitment, first within healthcare with then education supporting mainstream schools and special needs schools recruiting teachers to senior leadership roles. I created partnerships with London Borough councils SEN and Inclusion departments and managed full tuition services. To further my career within recruitment I have completed my CIPD in HR and use this to build a foundation and credibility with my HR network of clients and candidates. So far it has allowed me to offer advice with the charities I have worked partnered with on the scope of new roles within their team and offer clear recruitment timelines to appoint.
Having been in recruitment across three sectors I have developed my ability to adapt and build on my relationship and account management skills which has created the long-standing relationships I have with clients and candidates. Having a HR qualification has increased my credibility as a consultant within the HR recruitment space and relate on a fundamental level with my candidate’s day to day challenges equally offer opportunities that are specific to their career aspirations.
After running a 5k race I decided to challenge myself further and compete and train for a half marathon. This has peaked my interest in running as a sport and have enjoyed it as a hobby ever since. I like to get involved in charity where I can and focus on charities that support disadvantaged young people. I am also a big car fan from supercars to classics and attend car shows as often as I can.
