HR Advisor

We are partnering with a Retail business seeking an HR Advisor to support teams across the Netherlands. In this role, you will provide practical guidance on day‑to‑day people topics, help maintain fair and consistent processes, and contribute to a positive working environment across multiple locations.

You will act as a trusted contact for employees and managers, offering balanced advice while helping cultivate a supportive and collaborative culture.

What You’ll Do:

  • Offer initial guidance and case management on matters related to prolonged employee absence, workplace disagreements, performance or conduct concerns, complaints, interpersonal issues, and the interpretation of organizational policies.
  • Coach managers on handling employee situations confidently and in accordance with local employment standards.
  • Ensure HR processes are followed appropriately, outcomes are fair, and documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Support ongoing HR cycles and keep employee‑related records up to date and compliant.
  • Work closely with the wider HR team to share insights, align practices, and contribute to improving how we operate.
  • Visit different sites in the Netherlands to offer in‑person advice and support when needed.

What You Bring

  • A relevant qualification or solid experience in an HR advisory role.
  • Understanding of Dutch employment regulations and an interest in staying informed about updates.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with colleagues at all levels.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and contribute to structured, respectful discussions.
  • Comfort working with HR systems and data, including basic reporting.
  • Flexibility to travel and adjust your schedule occasionally based on business needs.
  • Availability for full‑time hours.
