Role: Vice President, HR Business Partner

Location: New York, NY (Chicago and Dallas also considered)

In Office Schedule: 4 days on site

Compensation Range: $150-190k base plus bonus

Our client is a rapidly growing professional services firm recognized for excellence and accelerated growth. They are seeking a Vice President, Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join their HR team and play a critical role in shaping culture, driving engagement, and leading performance management initiatives across the organization.

This is a high-impact role reporting to the Head of Human Resources and working closely with senior leadership. The HRBP will be a strategic advisor and hands-on partner, passionate about building exceptional employee experiences in a fast-paced, high-performance environment.

As the HR Business Partner you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the design and execution of performance management programs that support growth and accountability.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to strengthen employee engagement and retention across all levels.
  • Partner with leadership to identify learning needs and deliver targeted development programs.
  • Oversee critical HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, and career progression planning.
  • Ensure compliance with employment regulations and manage immigration-related requirements.
  • Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and improve HR processes.
  • Drive continuous improvement by introducing automation and scalable solutions to enhance efficiency.

Key requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
  • 6+ years of HR experience within professional services, investment banking, or private equity; minimum 4 years in an HRBP role.
  • Proven ability to lead performance management cycles and competency framework development.
  • Experience designing and executing employee engagement initiatives.
  • Exceptional communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
  • Comfortable working in a lean team structure and contributing both strategically and operationally.
