HR Manager
Role: Human Resources Manager
Location: Chicago, IL
In Office Schedule: 4 days on site
Compensation Range: $120-150k base plus
Our client is a well respected investment firm with a strong reputation and long-term approach to building businesses. They are seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to oversee day-to-day HR operations and deliver a best-in-class employee experience. This role will manage core HR processes, ensure compliance, and partner with leadership to support the firm’s culture and business objectives.
The HR Manager will be highly detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, serving as the go-to resource for employees and vendors on HR-related matters.
As the HR Manager you will:
- Oversee daily HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and employee lifecycle processes.
- Act as the primary point of contact for employees and external vendors, ensuring smooth execution of HR programs and services.
- Manage payroll processing and year-end reporting, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Lead benefits administration, including annual enrollment and ongoing program management across health, retirement, and wellness plans.
- Maintain HR policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with federal and state regulations.
- Support recruitment efforts and manage onboarding and offboarding processes to deliver a seamless employee experience.
- Coordinate employee engagement initiatives and recognition programs to foster a positive and inclusive culture.
- Partner with internal teams on firm-wide projects and HR initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and employee satisfaction.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and leverage technology.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- 7+ years of HR experience, ideally within professional services or financial services.
- Strong hands-on experience with HR systems; familiarity with payroll platforms is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of benefits, payroll, and HR compliance.
