HR Officer

£35 – £38,000 + generous holiday and lunch allowance for office based days

Central London / Hybrid (2-3 days)

Are you an HR Assistant, Coordinator or HR Officer looking for a role where you can build your generalist experience and get more exposure to employee relations?

I’m recruiting for a permanent HR Officer to join a small, friendly and collaborative HR team within a people focused organisation based in a beautiful Central London location.

This is a varied, hands on role where you’ll be the first point of contact for employees, supporting everything from day-to-day HR queries and employee changes through to first-stage ER casework, HR systems and wellbeing initiatives. You’ll join an experienced HR team with plenty of opportunity to learn, while having real ownership and input into how things are done.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as the first point of contact for general HR and employee queries
  • Supporting first-stage ER casework, including disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence cases
  • Taking notes during formal meetings and preparing supporting documentation
  • Processing employee changes, payroll variations and contractual amendments
  • Maintaining accurate employee records and HR system data
  • Managing the HR inbox and providing responsive first-line support
  • Supporting leavers, exit interviews and HR reporting
  • Getting involved in HR projects, process improvements and wellbeing initiatives
  • Supporting wider HR activity as part of a small team where everyone gets stuck in

We’re looking for someone is confident dealing directly with employees and knows what the foundations of great HR looks like.

Most importantly, you’ll bring:

  • Solid generalist HR knowledge and strong HR administration skills
  • Some practical exposure to formal employee relations casework
  • Experience using an HRIS or HR database, ideally Workday
  • Excellent organisation and attention to detail
  • Confidence juggling competing deadlines in a busy environment
  • A proactive, down-to-earth and collaborative approach
  • The ability to work independently and build trusted relationships across the organisation

If you’re looking for a HR team where you’ll be trusted to take ownership while continuing to develop your ER and generalist experience, I’d love to hear from you.
