Senior Compensation Associate – Capital Markets

About the Role

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail‑oriented Senior Compensation Associate to join our Reward team supporting our Capital Markets and investment professional population. This individual will play a key role in designing, administering, and optimizing complex compensation programs in a fast‑paced, high‑performance environment. The role offers exposure to sophisticated compensation structures-including carried interest, deferrals, and equity programs-and close partnership with senior leaders across HR, Finance, and FP&A.

This position may be hired at the Senior Associate or Manager level depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Compensation Strategy & Program Management

  • Support the design, administration, and governance of compensation programs for investment professionals, including base salary, annual incentives, long‑term incentives, carried interest, and deferred compensation.
  • Partner with the Head of Reward and broader Reward team (VP, Director, Manager) to execute compensation cycles, benchmarking, and market competitiveness analyses.
  • Assist in modeling compensation scenarios, forecasting spend, and evaluating program effectiveness.

Financial & Analytical Partnership

  • Work closely with FP&A on budgeting, headcount planning, forecasting, and ledger reconciliation.
  • Build and maintain advanced compensation models to support decision‑making and scenario planning.
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency across compensation data, reporting, and financial alignment.

Operational Excellence

  • Manage compensation data integrity across systems and processes.
  • Support the annual compensation review process, including calibration materials, analytics, and communication support.
  • Contribute to the administration of equity, deferral, and profit‑sharing programs.

Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Serve as a trusted partner to HR Business Partners, Talent Acquisition, and business leaders on compensation matters.
  • Provide guidance on compensation structures, job leveling, and offer recommendations.
  • Support compensation‑related inquiries with clarity, accuracy, and discretion.
  • Strong experience with complex compensation programs (e.g., carried interest, equity, deferrals).
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build, audit, and optimize models.
  • Experience working in financial services or similarly complex, high‑rigor environments.
  • Strong analytical mindset with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting investment professionals or Capital Markets teams.
  • Familiarity with compensation governance, compliance, and market benchmarking methodologies.
