Representing a global industrial manufacturing organization, we are proud to be leading the search for an Interim HR Business Partner.

This newly created role will support a workforce transformation and strengthen labor relations across a complex manufacturing environment.

This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to influence culture, build processes, and drive performance.

As the Fractional HR Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • Partnering closely with site leadership to support a period of operational and cultural transformation
  • Leading labor relations efforts, including managing union interactions and supporting a heavily unionized workforce (UAW environment)
  • Supporting workforce engagement initiatives to bring operators along through changes in ways of working
  • Advising leaders on performance management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness
  • Providing HR support during a leadership transition, including coverage for a senior HR leader on leave
  • Contributing to improvements in operational capability, workforce efficiency, and talent readiness
  • Supporting broader reorganization efforts across the North American business
  • Coaching line managers to build a stronger performance-driven culture
  • Ensuring compliance with labor laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements

To be successful in this role our client is looking for a:

  • Proven HR Business Partner with 8+ years of experience in industrial or manufacturing environments
  • Strong labor relations expertise, with hands-on experience working with unions in a complex setting
  • Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in transformation or turnaround environments
  • Experience supporting frontline, hourly populations in plant or production settings
  • Credible advisor to senior leaders, with the ability to influence and challenge constructively
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic and execution-focused approach
  • Availability to work onsite full-time in a manufacturing environment for the duration of the assignment
  • Ability to ramp quickly and deliver impact in an interim capacity
