A highly regarded global law firm is seeking a Senior Talent Acquisition Manager to lead and deliver its US recruitment strategy across all talent segments. This is a high-impact leadership role combining strategic oversight with hands-on delivery, partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive hiring aligned to business growth.
The Role
This position is responsible for end-to-end talent acquisition across the US, covering:
- Early Careers (campus / summer associate hiring)
- Experienced lawyers (associate and counsel lateral hiring)
- Business services / operational hiring across all functions
You will act as a trusted advisor to firm leadership, integrating hiring strategies across all talent channels and ensuring alignment with workforce planning, diversity priorities, and broader people strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Leadership
- Lead and deliver all US hiring activity across legal and business populations
- Develop integrated hiring strategies aligned to business growth and workforce plans
- Provide market insight and recruitment intelligence to senior stakeholders
Early Careers & Campus Recruitment
- Define and execute campus and law school recruiting strategy
- Build relationships with universities and key talent pipelines
- Oversee on-campus interviews and summer associate programmes
- Manage conversion of early talent into full-time hires
Lateral Hiring (Attorneys)
- Own full-cycle recruitment for associates and counsel
- Partner with practice leaders on hiring priorities
- Lead execution across screening, interviews, offers, and onboarding
- Ensure a high-touch candidate experience for senior hires
Business Services Hiring
- Lead recruitment across all US business functions
- Build proactive pipelines and market mapping capability
- Drive improvements through data and performance insights
Stakeholder Advisory
- Act as a strategic partner to partners and senior leaders
- Provide commercially aligned hiring guidance
- Support workforce planning and succession discussions
- Present hiring updates to leadership forums
Vendors & External Relationships
- Manage search firms, agencies, and external partners
- Ensure strong governance and performance management
- Maintain strong external talent networks
Process, Data & Governance
- Drive best-in-class recruitment processes and methodologies
- Ensure data integrity, reporting accuracy, and compliance
- Support diversity and inclusion outcomes across hiring
Team Leadership
- Lead, coach, and develop the US TA team
- Build a high-performing, collaborative recruiting function
- Drive continuous improvement and capability development
Candidate Profile
- Significant experience in legal talent acquisition/Business Service Recruiting
- Proven track record across:
- Campus / early careers hiring
- Lateral attorney recruitment
- Business services hiring
- Experience delivering end-to-end recruitment across multiple talent segments
- Strong stakeholder management with senior leaders and partners
- Commercially minded with ability to align hiring to business strategy
- Experience managing search firms and external vendors
- Data-driven, with strong analytical and reporting capability
- Excellent communication, influencing, and advisory skills
Qualifications
- Degree-educated (HR, Business, or related field preferred)
