As a Total Reward Executive Comp & Regulatory Specialist, you will focus on managing and advising on related remuneration regulations and governance matters as it relates to policies, practices, processes and corporate governance initiatives (mainly the Netherlands and EU), processing our global remuneration policies and working on the various regulatory requirements ensuring being compliant to legislation and requirements.

Day To Day

  • You support the business, as subject matter specialist focused on our clients executives, with relevant implementation of relevant regulation including designing and enhancing the various policies, procedures, processes etc.
  • Drive the implementation and monitoring of our clients remuneration policies, processes etc against the ever-changing regulatory landscape.
  • Ensure appropriate remuneration governance
  • Review and make recommendations on legal and regulatory compliance within the compensation and benefits areas
  • Assist with preparing responses for the regulator, as required.
  • Support the Total Reward Team with recurring pay and benefits proposition relating to remuneration regulations including governance within our client, as appropriate.
  • Training of HR colleagues and other key stakeholders on implementation of remuneration and it’s risk, governance together with the regulatory requirements
  • Participate in (global) reward projects where appropriate.
  • Collaborate closely with senior control function heads, corporate affairs, members within Total Reward and stakeholders with our Shareholder on remuneration regulatory compliance.
  • Manage relationships with third parties, where relevant, to ensure added value and efficient service including the contract management.
  • Support in the coordination, liaison and preparation of materials related to the Monitoring Committee. Work closely with the countries to review and ensure local compensation plans and schemes are compliant with remuneration regulation standards.

Annual recurring support

  • Support with the annual review, development and management of the Global Remuneration Policy and related procedures.
  • Group HR reporting in the areas of regulatory compliance relating to compensation.
  • Responsible for the selection, processing and reporting of remuneration for so-called Identified Staff (also known as Material Risk Takers) Members, compliant with legislation and Rabobank guidelines.
  • Support the creation of senior management presentations (i.e. Executive Board etc.), data analysis around Material Risk Takers, bonus pools.
  • Support the annual (risk) audits and processes

Essentials

  • Master’s degree, professional qualification, or relevant career experience
  • Experience in financial services and or in an otherwise regulated environment with practical experience within remuneration regulations function
  • Understanding of the Dutch and European regulatory landscape within Banking or Financial Institutions
  • Strong interpersonal and networking skills
  • You are reliable and accurate
  • Able to translate complex legislation into easily understandable information
  • Excellent communication skills in English & Dutch
  • Sparring partner that thinks in solutions
  • A culturally sensitive and globally minded team player.
  • Strong networker
  • Highly fluent in MS Office Skills (particularly Excel)
  • Analytical in nature with excellent attention to detail without losing the broader picture
