A growing, highly respected professional services organization in the Teterboro, NJ area is seeking a Human Resources Manager who thrives in a fast‑paced, people‑centric environment. Reporting directly to the CHRO, this role is ideal for someone who enjoys a broad array of HR generalist focuses, from recruiting and talent management to employee relations, performance processes, and overseeing administrative staff operations.
This is a visible, relationship‑driven position where you can influence every aspect of the employee experience. You’ll partner closely with leadership, help shape people strategy, and support a strong, cohesive culture.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CHRO to manage and elevate all facets of HR across the organization.
- Lead recruiting efforts, performance management cycles, and development initiatives.
- Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and organizational policies.
- Oversee administrative support staff and ensure team performance aligns with business needs.
- Collaborate with the Payroll & Benefits Coordinator on benefits programs, leave administration, and compliance.
- Refine HR policies, practices, and job descriptions to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with industry best practices.
- Prepare insights and reporting for senior leadership; support integration efforts for new hires.
Required experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field-or equivalent professional experience.
- Approximately 8+ years of experience with at least 4+ recent years of progressive HR experience within a financial or professional services firm
- Depth in employee lifecycle, specifically: onboarding, talent and performance management, recruiting, employee relations, HR projects and systems
- Sound judgment, a proactive mindset, and the ability to navigate nuanced employee situations.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting with senior leaders and staff at all levels.
- Solid working knowledge of HR policy and, employment regulations, and common HR systems.
- Professional certifications (PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP/SCP) are a plus, strong MS Office experience is a must
