International Mobility Lead

Location: London (3 days on-site)

About the Role

My client is seeking an experienced International Mobility Lead to manage end-to-end global mobility processes, from assignment initiation through repatriation. This is a pivotal role in a rapidly expanding organization acquiring entities across Europe and managing employees internationally across EMEA, APAC, and the Middle East.


Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee full lifecycle of international assignments.
  • Navigate complex tax landscapes, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure risks are mitigated, known, and calculated.
  • Build infrastructure for scalable mobility programs while liaising with stakeholders.
  • Manage vendor relationships and deliver at pace.

What the client is Looking For

  • Proven experience in international mobility, global employment tax, or mobility compliance within a multinational company.
  • Strong knowledge of employment tax, social security, and payroll compliance across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Familiarity with short-term business traveller compliance, permanent establishment risks, and remote work tax considerations.
  • Experience managing international secondments (beneficial but not essential).
  • Knowledge of immigration regulations and international labour law is a plus.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, collaborating across HR, tax, finance, and legal teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
  • Experience working with external tax advisors and payroll providers.
  • Proficiency in HRIS, tax compliance tools, and mobility tracking systems is advantageous.
