IWD2021: The Girl Behind The Face
What makes a 26-year-old woman, the granddaughter of a Holocaust survivor, give up her dream, her job, her career and choose to challenge stereotypes and society that labels and rejects a little girl born with different skin and the prognosis: “death in infancy”?
And what happens as that little girl grows up and becomes a woman?
To celebrate International Women’s Day, The SR Group are honoured to be hosting a Global Virtual Fireside Chat on Monday, 8 March with the founding family of The Girl Behind The Face.
Tina, Mui & Rog Thomas continue to be shaped by their stories of gritty determination, courage and resilience. Sharing their many experiences and challenges over the last 25 years, this inspirational family unit hope to educate on the dangers of issues such as cyberbullying, prejudice and discrimination whilst challenging people to explore their own prejudices and inaction.
The Girl Behind The Face is the epitome of this year’s IWD theme #ChooseToChallenge as Tina, Mui & Rog advocate and encourage everyone to take a moment to #StandUp4Others.
Join us on Monday, 8 March* as Sarah Ingwersen, Partner at Taylor Root, joins the Thomas family in Hong Kong via Zoom to learn more about their story and how they as a family unit have chosen to challenge prejudice and inaction within communities across the globe.
