Global reach, local expertise: how our financial services recruiters deliver top HR talent for clients worldwide
As someone who leads the permanent financial services recruitment team at Frazer Jones in London, I see every day how our global reach and local expertise make a real difference for our clients and candidates. Working closely with my colleagues across our global network, including the US, the UAE, the Netherlands, Singapore and Hong Kong, I am proud of the specialist recruitment knowledge and market insight we bring to the financial services sector.
I was lucky to sit with Erica Ravich, from our New York office, and to discuss our global financial services HR hiring capability and some of the key market trends we observed in 2025. If you are curious about the sector and the way we help clients around the world, watch the video below and read on.
A unified global network with specialist recruitment expertise
At Frazer Jones, we are more than just recruiters. We are trusted partners to a wide range of organisations, from fintech start-ups and boutique private equity firms to global banks and professional services companies. Our global network allows us to offer international perspective while maintaining deep local market knowledge.
As Erica put it, “We do not just have a global team, we have all these areas of specialty.” This enables us to provide benchmarking and market expertise tailored to each client’s business needs. I have seen first-hand how our joined-up approach allows us to “provide the market insight from all over the globe, which is incredible and we have such a far reach.”
Buy side growth, hard skills and the evolving hiring process
One of the most notable trends this year has been the surge in buy side hiring, with organisations offering more flexible and competitive compensation packages. Erica shared, “We have seen so much growth on the buy side. The offers as well have been able to meet the market too. They have more flexibility. They are able to offer better compensation packages. Usually their benefits are really good too.”
We are also seeing a clear shift towards hiring for hard skills, such as data analysis, AI and technology. As Erica explained, “There are certain areas within HR that are requiring hard skills now, like data and AI and understanding technology. That is part of the process now, in terms of interview process and looking at job descriptions, these are part of the job descriptions now.”
To secure top talent, companies are investing more in talent management, learning and development and retention strategies. “We are seeing so many companies trying to invest now more in talent management, L&D, which we have not seen for a long time. That demonstrates a shift in wanting to retain these folks,” Erica added. This shift has made the recruitment process more candidate-focused, with greater emphasis on sourcing, talent acquisition and onboarding. I have seen how a positive candidate experience and a strong employer brand can make all the difference in attracting and retaining high-performing professionals.
Building high-performing teams through trusted partnerships
Much of our work is confidential, often under NDA, and many of our placements come through recommendations from our network. I am particularly proud of our access to passive talent pools. As I shared with Erica, “Nine times out of ten, we place these people into their first HR associate role that are now stepping into their first CHRO hire.” Our recruiters use a combination of market mapping, benchmarking and networking to identify and engage the best talent.
We work closely with clients to understand their hiring needs, employer brand and cultural fit, ensuring we find the right candidate for every role. Our executive search and permanent recruitment solutions are designed to help clients build high-performing HR teams and leadership teams anywhere in the world.
Global recruitment solutions for a changing world
With offices in key financial centres, we offer global recruitment solutions tailored to local markets. Our case studies demonstrate a proven track record in sourcing and placing HR professionals and leaders across financial services, fintech and professional services. We support clients through every stage of the hiring process, from initial market insight and benchmarking to onboarding and retention.
Standardising best practice across regions is a priority for us, ensuring that clients benefit from consistent, high-quality recruitment solutions wherever they operate. As I said to Erica, “That is a huge, exciting opportunity for some of our global clients where we can really roll this out across the globe.”
