The Director Talent Acquisition Europe is responsible for developing and delivering an integrated, scalable, and future‑ready talent acquisition strategy across the European region. The role ensures the organization is positioned as an employer of choice while driving efficient, high‑quality, data‑driven hiring outcomes across multiple markets.

This position blends strategic leadership with operational excellence, overseeing end‑to‑end recruitment delivery, TA infrastructure, employer branding, and workforce planning. It partners closely with senior business, operations, and people leaders to align talent strategies with organizational growth, clinical quality, and long‑term sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition Strategy & Delivery

  • Develop and execute TA strategies supporting high‑volume, multi‑site hiring across Europe
  • Lead workforce and resourcing plans aligned with growth, seasonal demand, and market conditions.
  • Design hybrid resourcing models using internal teams, contractors, and external partners.
  • Advise senior leaders on labour market trends, talent availability, and hiring risks.

Operating Model, Infrastructure & Governance

  • Harmonize fragmented country‑specific TA approaches into a unified, scalable operating model.
  • Oversee TA infrastructure including processes, governance, and technology (ATS, reporting, tools).
  • Establish standard work, service models, and clear accountability across regional and local teams.
  • Define and track TA performance metrics and continuous improvement initiatives.

Employer Branding & Strategic Sourcing

  • Position the organization as an employer of choice within the veterinary ecosystem.
  • Lead employer branding initiatives including university partnerships, student pipelines, events, and digital recruitment.
  • Drive innovative sourcing strategies for veterinarians, technicians, students, and hard‑to‑fill roles.
  • Ensure EVP alignment across markets.

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of TA professionals.
  • Build capability in sourcing, selection, stakeholder management, and data‑driven decision making.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.

Data, Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze TA data and market insights to inform strategic decisions.
  • Optimize candidate experience, time‑to‑hire, quality of hire, and cost efficiency.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in HR, Business, or related field.
  • 15+ years in recruitment, TA, or related people/operations roles.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership role overseeing TA strategy and operating models.
  • Experience in fast‑paced, multi‑site environments such as healthcare, veterinary, retail, or service industries.
  • Proven ability to scale TA functions across multiple countries.
  • Strong track record in attracting senior and scarce professional talent.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • High proficiency with ATS platforms, analytics, and reporting.
