We are partnering with a highly successful global proprietary trading firm to appoint a Head of Talent Management to lead the firm’s people and talent strategy across APAC.

The role will play a pivotal part in shaping how the organisation attracts, develops, and retains exceptional individuals across research, trading, and technology.
The Role
As Head of Talent Management, you will define and execute a best‑in‑class talent strategy for the region, working closely with senior leadership to build high‑performing teams in an environment that prioritises meritocracy, innovation, and rigour.
You will operate at the intersection of talent, performance, and organisational effectiveness, balancing strategic design with hands‑on delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of the APAC talent management strategy, aligned with global priorities
- Design and implement frameworks across performance management, succession planning, and leadership development
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Quantitative Research, Trading, and Technology to build and retain high‑impact teams
- Drive initiatives to identify, assess, and accelerate top talent, including high‑potential programmes and leadership pipelines
- Establish a strong culture of merit‑based performance, feedback, and continuous development
- Collaborate closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure alignment between hiring, assessment, and long‑term development
- Leverage data and insights to inform talent decisions and measure effectiveness of people initiatives
- Lead and develop a small, high‑calibre talent management team
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in Talent Management, Organisational Development, or HR Leadership roles at a senior level
- Background in financial services, technology, or other high‑performance, intellectually demanding environments
- Strong capability in designing and implementing scalable talent frameworks
- Credibility working with senior, highly analytical stakeholders
- Data‑driven, structured thinker with strong problem‑solving ability
- Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, high‑expectation, low‑ego environment
- High level of discretion, judgement, and intellectual curiosity
