HR Manager

Contract: Permanent

Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid working 2 days in office.

We’re partnering with a growing international technology business looking for an experienced HR professional to become HR Manager for the UK head office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Senior HR Advisor, HR Business Partner or established HR Manager who enjoys variety, autonomy, and the chance to make a visible impact.

Working closely with leadership teams, you’ll play a pivotal role in supporting employees and managers, driving key people initiatives, and ensuring a positive employee experience across the organisation. You’ll have ownership of operational HR delivery while also contributing to strategic projects, giving you exposure well beyond a traditional HR generalist role.

This is a highly visible position for someone who enjoys building relationships, solving problems, and influencing positive change.

What you’ll be doing:

As the HR lead for the business, you’ll:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on a broad range of HR matters.
  • Manage employee relations activity, including investigations, disciplinaries, grievances and absence management.
  • Oversee the end-to-end recruitment process, helping attract and retain top talent.
  • Drive employee engagement, wellbeing and culture initiatives.
  • Support performance management and talent development activities.
  • Own and develop HR policies, processes and compliance activities.
  • Manage HR systems, reporting and workforce data analysis.
  • Support payroll and benefits administration.
  • Lead people-related projects and organisational change initiatives.
  • Develop and support a direct report.

About you..

We’re open to candidates who are either operating at HR Manager level already or who are looking for a genuine progression opportunity. You will be an experienced HR generalist used to covering the end to end of the employee lifecycle including ER. Ideally you will have worked in either a SME sized business or been a first point of call for HR for a client group within an organisation. You will be ambitious and commercially minded, happy to get stuck in and confident working with senior leaders.

You’ll bring:

  • Strong HR generalist experience within a fast-paced environment.
  • Solid understanding of UK employment law.
  • Confidence handling employee relations cases independently – there will be HR support for more complex cases however you must have experience leading on ER casework.
  • Experience partnering with managers and influencing stakeholders.
  • Exposure to recruitment, performance management and HR operations.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience using HR systems and producing HR reporting and insights.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with the confidence to work autonomously.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative business where HR has a genuine seat at the table. You’ll have the autonomy to shape processes, influence decision-making, and broaden your experience across multiple areas of HR.

Whether you’re an experienced HR Manager looking for a fresh challenge or a high-performing Senior HR Advisor ready for your first management role, this position offers real career development, visibility, and ownership.
