Are you an experienced HR Operations professional who enjoys bringing structure, accountability and continuous improvement to busy HR environments?
We’re partnering with a well-established organisation with an international footprint and a strong social impact mission. As they continue a wider transformation of their people function, they are looking for an Interim HR Operations Manager to lead day-to-day HR operations, strengthen service delivery and drive process improvement across the UK workforce.
The Role
You’ll manage the output of a small HR Operations team and ensure the delivery of a high-quality, compliant and customer-focused HR service. You’ll play a key role in stabilising and enhancing HR operations, improving processes, ensuring accurate employee data and payroll preparation, and helping create a more efficient and responsive HR function.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of HR operations and employee lifecycle activities.
- Managing and developing a small HR Operations team, providing clear direction and accountability.
- Overseeing contracts, changes to employment terms, benefits administration and people records.
- Ensuring accurate HR data management, reporting and payroll preparation.
- Monitoring service levels, workload management and operational performance.
- Acting as an escalation point for complex operational queries.
- Driving data quality, process documentation and operational compliance.
- Identifying opportunities for automation, system readiness and continuous improvement.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across HR, Finance, Payroll and operational teams.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven HR Operations experience within a complex organisation.
- Strong understanding of employee lifecycle processes, HR administration and governance.
- Experience managing or supervising HR teams and driving accountability.
- Excellent attention to detail with a passion for process improvement.
- Strong HR systems and data management experience.
- Comfortable working in a changing environment and helping teams navigate transformation.
- A customer-focused approach with empathy, patience and strong communication skills.
- CIPD qualified, studying towards qualification, or equivalent experience.
