HR Vendor Management
I’m pleased to share a newly created role with a leading global Financial Services firm that is expanding its Vendor Management capability. This strategic function is essential to ensuring the firm’s critical and key third-party relationships are optimized for performance, value, and risk mitigation.
Role Purpose: To maximize the performance and value of the firm’s third-party vendors while minimizing risk and driving contractual and relationship value. This role will be instrumental in shaping how the firm engages, governs, and collaborates with its most important external partners. As part of the HR team, you will:
- Support the Director, HR Governance to develop a framework for HR Vendor Management and Governance compliant with the firms Procurement Policies
- Maintain oversight of the HR register of vendors, upcoming risk assessments and renewals
- Support Vendor Relationship Owners (VROs) and Service Owners (SOs) with all aspects of third-party administration and management activities
- Partner with HR Leadership and HR Governance to maintain the HR inventory of Risks and Controls related to third parties and RCSA testing
- Provide HR Risk SME support to Third Party Risk Management and Procurement
- Support Service Owners and be the key HR point of contact for Procurement queries
- Manage the HR key vendor governance program and partner with HR Governance and HR Service Owners
- Partner with the HR Governance to implement and maintain third party related process maps, procedures and templates ensuring they are up-to-date and well-communicated
- Support the onboarding of new HR team members to ensure there is an understanding of third-party management requirements compliant with Procurement policies
Strategic
- Establish relationships both internally and externally
- Creation and maintenance of third-party scorecards
- Managing and overseeing the Governance aspects of the relationship ensuring value is created
- Identify opportunities to achieve maximum value of the vendor portfolio and work with Leadership and Procurement to realize the benefits
- Ensuring compliance and exceeding requirements
Operational
- Monitoring and managing contractual arrangements ensuring delivery including:
- Contract end dates and renewal timeframes
- Deliverable tracking
- Obligation tracking
- Change management
- Cost management
- Invoice management
- Document management
- Support and monitor the Vendor Relationship Owners and Services Owners to meet compliance of the vendor management activities
- Prepare periodic oversight updates to the HR Leadership Team
- Represent HR for ad-hoc change and project initiatives across the company

Key Qualifications:
- Human Resources Vendor Management: Proven experience managing third-party HR vendors, ensuring performance, compliance, and value delivery.
- Contract & Commercial Management: Demonstrated ability to negotiate, manage, and monitor complex contracts with a strong commercial acumen.
- Industry Expertise: Background in Financial Services, Financial Market Utilities, or similarly regulated sectors is essential.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Communication Excellence: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to distill complex information for senior stakeholders.
