Representing a global professional services firm, we are proud to be leading the search for a Manager, Lateral Partner Recruitment (US). This newly created role will drive strategic partner-level recruitment across key West Coast markets, with a focus on Los Angeles and Northern California.

The firm works on a hybrid basis with 3 days in office required weekly. **

This is a pivotal role offering the opportunity to influence culture, build processes, and drive performance. As the Manager, Lateral Partner Recruitment, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading day-to-day lateral partner sourcing and recruitment efforts for Los Angeles and Northern California offices
  • Collaborating with office and practice leadership to define and execute recruitment strategies aligned with firm priorities
  • Developing direct sourcing strategies to reduce reliance on external search firms
  • Managing relationships with recruitment agencies, including fee negotiations and service agreements
  • Coordinating interview logistics, briefing interviewers, and collecting feedback
  • Supporting offer development and candidate presentations for senior leadership review
  • Partnering with conflicts and due diligence teams to assess potential risks
  • Crafting and executing integration plans for new lateral partner hires
  • Liaising with HR and business development teams to ensure seamless onboarding and communications
  • Maintaining data integrity across applicant tracking systems and recruitment processes
  • Demonstrating a commitment to collaboration, innovation, and high-level client service

To be successful in this role our client is looking for a:

  • Recruitment professional with 5-7 years of experience, including significant exposure to partner-level hiring
  • Background in legal or professional services recruitment, preferably with lateral hiring experience
  • Strong understanding of the Los Angeles and Northern California legal markets
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • High level of discretion and professionalism in handling confidential information
  • Proficiency in applicant tracking systems and virtual collaboration platforms
