I am partnering with a manufacturing client based in Weston-Super-Mare, to help them recruit a People Advisor. This is a site-based role and an excellent opportunity for a driven HR professional to take on a varied, hands-on position within a fast paced and growing environment.

As the People Advisor, you will deliver a comprehensive, operational HR service across the business, supporting managers with all aspects of the employee lifecycle. This is a busy, hands-on role with a strong focus on employee relations and day-to-day HR activity, ensuring policies and processes are applied consistently and in line with best practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting all aspects of the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and induction through to leavers
  • Providing practical, day-to-day advice on employee relations matters including grievance, disciplinary, performance, and capability cases
  • Managing and advising on absence, attendance, and wellbeing issues
  • Supporting managers with investigations, hearings, and HR processes, ensuring compliance and best practice
  • Managing end-to-end recruitment activity across the business
  • Driving employee engagement, retention, and recognition initiatives
  • Implementing and maintaining HR policies and procedures to support a positive and inclusive working environment
  • Producing and analysing HR metrics and reports to support operational decision-making

What you will need:

  • CIPD Level 3 (minimum) or Level 5 qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a hands-on, operational HR role.
  • Strong employee relations experience, with confidence managing cases end-to-end
  • Good working knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and prioritise a varied workload
  • High attention to detail, with experience in HR data and reporting
  • A flexible approach and willingness to travel across multiple sites

If you’re a hands-on HR professional who enjoys being at the heart of the business and thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is an ideal opportunity to make a real impact. Please get in touch for more information and to apply.
