We’re working with a high‑profile, purpose‑driven organisation driving meaningful social impact across the UK. Following significant recent funding, they’re hiring a Senior People & Talent Manager to play a visible, hands‑on role during a key growth phase. This is a senior HR / People role combining strategy, delivery and close partnership with senior leadership.

Reporting to the People Director and working closely with the Senior People Manager, you’ll lead:

  • Recruitment and talent strategy
  • Workforce planning and future capability needs
  • Inclusive, values‑led hiring and onboarding
  • Performance, development and progression frameworks
  • Manager and leadership capability
  • Succession planning and early talent pipelines
  • Employer branding and attraction
  • Use of people data to inform decisions and reduce risk

What you’ll be doing day‑to‑day:

  • Owning end‑to‑end recruitment
  • Supporting leaders to hire at pace and with clarity
  • Improving onboarding and early‑tenure experience
  • Advising and challenging senior stakeholders
  • Strengthening performance conversations and development
  • Using data to spot hiring, progression and retention trends
  • Managing complex people matters fairly and compassionately
  • Overseeing suppliers, systems and people budgets
  • Hands‑on, delivery‑focused role

About you:

  • Senior experience across People / HR / Talent
  • Strong recruitment and HR leadership background
  • Experience shaping performance and development frameworks
  • Confident senior‑level advisor
  • Solid UK employment law knowledge
  • Comfortable in change and ambiguity
  • Values‑led, pragmatic and delivery‑focused
  • Experience in not‑for‑profit, public sector, financial services or purpose‑driven settings is a plus
