The Opportunity

A global, forward-thinking organisation is seeking a Vice President of Strategic Workforce Planning & Organizational Effectiveness to lead the design of a future-ready workforce.

This is a high-impact, enterprise-level role operating at the intersection of strategy, talent, and technology. You will play a critical role in shaping how work gets done-redefining operating models, embedding AI and automation into workforce strategy, and ensuring the organisation has the capabilities needed to compete and grow in a rapidly evolving environment.

Working closely with the Executive Team, you will translate business strategy into scalable workforce and organisational solutions that drive performance, efficiency, and long-term value.

What You’ll Do

Enterprise Workforce Strategy

  • Own and evolve a global workforce planning framework, aligning business strategy, financial planning, and technology transformation
  • Lead multi-year workforce scenario planning, modelling future skills, capacity, and capability needs
  • Embed AI, automation, and digital workforce assumptions into planning and decision-making
  • Leverage workforce analytics and insight to inform executive decisions and track progress

Organizational Effectiveness & Operating Model Design

  • Design and optimise end-to-end operating models, including roles, decision rights, and structures
  • Partner with business leaders to simplify organisations and eliminate inefficiencies
  • Ensure alignment between organisational design and strategic priorities

Organizational Design & Work Architecture

  • Shift the organisation from role-based structures to work- and skills-based models
  • Lead large-scale organisational redesign initiatives linked to growth, transformation, and digital enablement
  • Establish enterprise-wide standards, governance, and best practice

Workforce Transformation & Adoption

  • Lead the change management and adoption agenda for workforce and operating model transformation
  • Build capability across leaders and HR teams to embed new ways of working
  • Ensure workforce implications of AI and emerging technologies are proactively addressed
  • Provide clear insights and recommendations to executive leadership on workforce risks and opportunities

What You’ll Bring

  • Significant senior leadership experience (typically 10+ years) in strategic workforce planning, organisational design, or enterprise transformation
  • Proven track record delivering large-scale workforce or operating model transformations in complex, global environments
  • Experience integrating automation, AI, or digital workforce strategies into organisational planning
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to link workforce decisions to business outcomes and value creation
  • Expertise in change management, transformation adoption, and leadership enablement
  • Ability to influence at executive and board level through insight, credibility, and strategic narrative

Key Capabilities

  • Systems thinker with a deep understanding of how work flows across organisations
  • Strong grounding in workforce analytics and data-driven decision making
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with the ability to bring structure and clarity
  • Skilled in balancing long-term transformation with near-term delivery
  • Collaborative leader who builds capability and drives accountability across teams

Why This Role?

  • Shape the future of work in a globally relevant, forward-looking organisation
  • Play a central role in enterprise transformation and innovation
  • Work directly with senior leadership to influence strategic direction
  • Lead cutting-edge initiatives across AI, workforce strategy, and organisational design
