Group Head of Technology

We are partnering with a leading global insurance organisation to appoint a Head of Technology, a critical leadership role responsible for driving technology strategy, transformation, and execution across a key region.

This is an opportunity to join a well‑established yet forward‑looking business that is investing heavily in digital transformation, data, and customer experience.


The Role

As Head of Technology, you will lead the overall technology agenda, aligning IT strategy with business priorities while modernising platforms and capabilities. You will partner closely with senior business leaders to deliver scalable, secure, and customer‑centric solutions in a highly regulated environment.

This role requires a leader who can operate at both a strategic and executional level, balancing transformation initiatives with operational resilience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the technology strategy, aligned with business objectives and growth plans
  • Lead end‑to‑end technology transformation, including legacy modernisation, cloud adoption, and digital platforms
  • Oversee core IT functions, including application development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data, and architecture
  • Partner with business leadership to deliver customer‑focused digital solutions and enhance user experience
  • Ensure robust governance, risk, and compliance in line with regulatory requirements
  • Manage and develop a high‑performing technology team, including both internal and vendor resources
  • Drive innovation across areas such as data analytics, AI, and automation

What We Are Looking For

  • Proven experience in a senior technology leadership role (Head / Director level) within insurance, financial services, or similarly regulated industries
  • Strong track record in leading large‑scale technology transformation programmes
  • Deep understanding of insurance platforms, data architecture, and digital ecosystems
  • Ability to engage and influence C‑suite and senior stakeholders
  • Strong balance of strategic vision and hands‑on execution capability
  • Experience managing regional or multi‑market teams preferred
