Head of People & Culture

North London/Hertfordshire (Hybrid 3 Days) | £75,000 + Bonus + Benefits

We’re partnering with an ambitious, purpose-led consumer brand to appoint a Head of People & Culture.

This is a newly elevated leadership role offering the opportunity to shape and develop the entire people agenda for a growing business with a strong brand identity, engaged workforce and clear growth ambitions. Reporting into the senior leadership team, you’ll be responsible for creating the people strategy, enhancing employee experience and ensuring the organisation has the capability, structure and culture to scale successfully.

The Opportunity

This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery and would suit an experienced People leader who enjoys building, improving and embedding people practices within an entrepreneurial environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the overall People & Culture strategy.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor to senior leaders on organisational and people matters.
  • Overseeing employee relations, policies and HR processes.
  • Leading recruitment and employer branding initiatives.
  • Managing and developing talent acquisition capability.
  • Designing and embedding learning, development and performance frameworks.
  • Building succession planning and career development programmes.
  • Driving employee engagement, culture and retention initiatives.
  • Using people data and insights to inform decision making.
  • Managing benefits, employee experience and internal events programmes.

About You

We’re keen to speak with candidates who can demonstrate:

  • Significant experience leading a broad HR or People function.
  • Strong expertise across employee relations, talent acquisition, learning & development and organisational culture.
  • Experience creating and implementing people frameworks, performance processes and development programmes.
  • Previous leadership or management experience within a People team.
  • The ability to operate strategically whilst remaining comfortable in a hands-on environment.
  • Experience within consumer, retail, lifestyle, creative, e-commerce or purpose-led organisations.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the credibility to influence senior leadership teams.
  • A collaborative, commercially minded and proactive approach.
