Sr. Workday Integration Lead

Location: Dallas, TX – Hybrid Remote

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Workday Integration Architect to lead the design, development, implementation, and support of enterprise Workday integrations. This individual will serve as a technical leader responsible for building scalable, secure, and reliable integrations between Workday and a variety of downstream systems across HR, payroll, benefits, finance, analytics, and third-party platforms.

The ideal candidate brings a combination of hands-on integration development expertise and solution architecture experience, with the ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions while ensuring operational excellence and long-term scalability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and support of complex Workday integrations across HR, payroll, benefits, finance, and third-party applications.
  • Architect scalable integration solutions utilizing Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF, RaaS, APIs, and related technologies.
  • Partner with HRIS, Payroll, IT, Security, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver effective integration solutions.
  • Develop and support inbound and outbound integrations using REST/SOAP APIs, XML, XSLT, SFTP, and file-based technologies.
  • Configure and maintain Workday integration security, authentication methods, certificates, and connectivity protocols.
  • Support Workday Extend applications and Prism Analytics initiatives that enhance business processes, automation, reporting, and user experiences.
  • Troubleshoot production integration issues, perform root cause analysis, and ensure reliable system performance.
  • Lead integration testing efforts related to Workday updates, system enhancements, vendor changes, and release cycles.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, integration specifications, and operational support materials.
  • Identify opportunities to improve integration architecture, operational efficiency, and data quality across the Workday ecosystem.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of Workday experience with a strong focus on integrations and technical architecture.
  • Extensive hands-on experience building and supporting Workday Studio integrations.
  • Strong expertise with EIB, Core Connectors, Calculated Fields, Custom Reports, and Workday security.
  • Experience integrating Workday with payroll, benefits, finance, reporting, and other enterprise applications.
  • Strong technical knowledge of integration frameworks.
  • Experience supporting the full integration lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Working knowledge of Workday Extend and/or Workday Prism Analytics is highly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
