HR Business Partner (VP or AVP)
Our client, a leading financial services firm in the private credit space is seeking an HR Business Partner (Vice President or Assistant Vice President level) to support an Investor Relations client group.
**This exciting role will sit in their Chicago office on a hybrid basis, 3 planned days in-office per week with flexibility to appear additional days as needed.*
With a total population exceeding 1,000 employees and a robust global presence, our client has built a well-resourced, strategic HR function offering a multitude of development opportunities and visibility within their growth-oriented and employee-centric culture.
The Human Resources Department handles benefits, employee relations, performance management, training, talent development, recruiting, succession planning, and onboarding/offboarding. As a strategic partner to employees, HR plays an integral part in achieving both departmental and individual goals, with a clear focus on talent growth and stability.
Focuses of this role will include but are not limited to:
- Develop HR strategies that support business needs.
- Apply HR technical knowledge and best practices and ensure compliance.
- Manage performance, promotion, and talent management processes.
- Track performance management actions and talent activity.
- Employee relations including proactive coaching and case triage
- Conduct employee feedback sessions and 360 feedback.
- Support firmwide and local initiatives and events.
- Guide Mid-Year and Year-End processes.
- Work on HR initiatives and projects, including presentations and cross-departmental collaboration.
Role requirements are as follows:
- A Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 7+ years of cohesive HR business partner experience from within financial services, and ideally in a buy side environment.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, technology, analytical, and project management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and high standards of personal excellence.
- Team-oriented, self-motivated, and adaptable approach.
