Salary: £50,000 – £70,000
ABOUT THE COMPANY
Our client is a UK-based, venture-backed defence technology scale-up operating in a highly complex and regulated environment.
The business is entering a phase of rapid global growth, scaling from ~200 employees to 350 this year, with ambitions to reach 3,000 employees in the near term. With expanding operations across the UK and internationally, they are building a high-performing People function to support this growth.
Due to the scale of the companies growth we’re looking to hire multiple People Operations Specialists, all with different areas of focus.
ABOUT THE ROLES
HR Systems Specialist
This role will sit at the centre of the People function, ensuring our systems, data, and processes enable a seamless employee experience and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
· Own and optimise the HR tech stack (currently HiBob, Workable, Carta)
· Act as system administrator for HRIS and related platforms
· Improve data integrity, reporting, and dashboards for leadership
· Lead system implementations, integrations, and upgrades
· Partner with Finance and Payroll providers to ensure accurate data flow
· Support global entity expansion (Germany, Poland, Australia, UK)
· Build scalable processes for onboarding, lifecycle events, and reporting
· Support compliance with international employment and security requirements
Requirements
· Proven experience in HR systems / HRIS administration (HiBob preferred)
· Experience in high-growth or scale-up environments
· Strong data mindset – comfortable with reporting, metrics, and analytics
· Experience working across multiple geographies
· Strong attention to detail and process improvement capability
Talent Operations & Employee Experience Specialist
This role will be responsible for building a world-class onboarding and employee journey where you’ll partner closely with Talent and HRBPs to ensure every hire has a seamless and engaging experience from offer through onboarding and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
· Own and deliver end-to-end onboarding experience
· Design and improve the employee journey (pre-boarding → onboarding → lifecycle)
· Partner with Talent Acquisition to ensure smooth handovers
· Manage onboarding logistics (contracts, documentation, compliance, systems setup)
· Support employee engagement initiatives and experience improvements
· Coordinate induction programmes across global offices
· Ensure processes scale effectively with rapid hiring growth
· Act as a key contact for new joiners during early tenure
Requirements
· Experience in People Operations, HR coordination, or talent operations
· Strong focus on employee experience and service delivery
· Ability to operate in a high-growth, fast-paced environment (non 9-5)
· Excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills
· Experience coordinating onboarding at scale
Projects & HR Operations Specialist
This role will be instrumental in driving key operational projects and supporting the scaling of the global People function. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, improving processes, and delivering cross-functional projects in a high-growth environment.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and support People Ops projects (process improvement, scaling initiatives, new entity setup)
· Support payroll coordination with external providers and finance teams
· Improve operational workflows across the employee lifecycle
· Partner with HRBPs and leadership on organisational initiatives
· Support global expansion activities (new locations, workforce scaling)
· Drive standardisation across People processes
· Deliver ad hoc projects aligned to business priorities (e.g. compliance, reporting, policy)
Requirements
· Experience in HR Operations / People Ops with strong project exposure
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Experience scaling or building processes in a growing company
· Strong stakeholder management and problem-solving ability
· Comfortable working with ambiguity and rapid change
