Talent Acquisition Advisor (Senior Specialist)
An exciting, newly launched role reporting to a supportive and innovative Director of Talent Management, this position is ideal for a true full‑cycle recruiter who thrives in a collaborative environment and is ready to own the recruiting function end‑to‑end.
Location & Schedule
- Four days per week onsite near the Queens Long Island border (walking distance from the LIRR , for quick 30 min reverse commute from Manhattan via Penn Station).
- One remote day weekly
- Parking available for a daily fee or free street parking.
Role Overview
As lead recruiter you will drive sourcing and full‑cycle hiring across the organization, with a heavy focus on construction‑related roles such as superintendents, project managers, and field engineers. You will partner closely with hiring managers, refine job descriptions, build pipelines, and reduce agency spend through strong direct sourcing. This role does not handle onboarding or background checks and is well supported by a cohesive HR team. Experience managing scheduling is, however, a must. You will also support and lead exciting initiatives around employer branding, recruitment marketing, referral programs, and the optimization of recruiting tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive full‑cycle recruitment: intake, sourcing, screening, interviewing coordination, and offer letter preparation.
- Build strong pipelines for high‑volume and hard‑to‑fill roles.
- Develop interview guides and maintain recruitment data through manual tracking and presentations.
- Manage referral programs, “Hot Jobs” campaigns, and job board presence.
- Partner with hiring managers to craft accurate, compelling job descriptions.
- Strengthen employer brand across LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and related platforms.
- Attend career fairs and cultivate external talent partnerships.
- Support diversity and inclusion initiatives within the hiring process.
- Assist with special projects and contribute to the selection and implementation of a new ATS.
Qualifications
5+ years of recruiting experience, with several years specifically from within construction or a construction focused search firm setting – experience recruiting for: project superintendents, project managers, field engineers, etc. Real estate development, engineering could be relevant industries.
Proven sourcing expertise and comfort managing full‑cycle searches independently.
Strong relationship‑building skills with credibility across all levels, including executives.
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel; experience with Workday, or Greenhouse is a plus.
Familiarity with LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and other platforms
Ability to adapt quickly, manage deadlines, and exercise sound judgment.
Bachelor’s degree in HR, psychology, communications, or a related field.
