Avoiding the unfair dismissal trap webinar
From 1 January 2027, the qualifying period of service to bring an ordinary unfair dismissal claim reduces from 2 years to 6 months. The cap on unfair dismissal compensation is also being removed. Both these changes will have a significant impact firstly, on the numbers of employees who can bring an unfair dismissal claim and secondly, on the amount of compensation which can be awarded.
Join Aseel Ibrahim, Director, Corporate and Commercial, and Emma O’Connor, Employment Partner of Doyle Clayton, as they discuss how to avoid the unfair dismissal trap.
During the session, we will cover…
- What is changing and when?
- What does this mean for recruitment and onboarding processes?
- What does a “fair” dismissal look like?
- Tips to avoid the unfair dismissal trap
If you are an HR professional, Chief People Officer, people lead or inhouse counsel, this webinar is for you.
