The Client

Clarke Willmott are a Bristol based Law firm with seven UK offices and headcount of over 600.

Client’s need

This was a Board level HR Director appointment, reporting to the CEO, and a very visible role and brand in the Bristol market.

Solution

Frazer Jones was hired on a retained basis as Clarke Willmott wanted to engage with an HR brand that had knowledge of the local market in the South West alongside a very established network of talent within the London legal sector. This was a search that required mapping clients across both geographies. We were looking for someone who was likely to be working as the no.2 to an HRD within a larger firm (who wanted a no.1 position) or perhaps someone already at HRD level within a similar sized legal practice. The challenge would be London salaries and relocation vs sourcing from a much smaller pool of talent in the South West.

The Result

We were able to provide a shortlist of candidates from both locations, all of whom met the clients exact needs. This involved closely working with the Professional Services team in our London office to bring this to successful conclusion.
