HR Horrors – Australian Employment Law Update
This event is now over.
Cilla Robinson returns for an update on all things employment law. This time, she will be joined by Lauren Cooper, Senior Associate, King & Wood Mallesons. They will discuss the key updates in the employment law space and answer any questions you have for them.
Has DEI really DE(d)I(ed)? Prepare for a chilling exploration of the evolving landscape of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives in Australia amid recent U.S. rollbacks of these efforts in both the public and private sectors. They will recap the High Court’s decision in Elisha v Vision Australia Limited [2024] HCA 50 where significant damages were awarded to an employee for psychiatric injury due to breach of employment contract, showcasing evolving employer liability regarding psychological safety. Within this context, Cilla and Lauren will also address psychosocial risks in the workplace as employers manage cost-cutting and return-to-office strategies while striving to boost productivity.
Join us on 2 April 2025 at 11 am for a thought-provoking session that promises to illuminate the complexities facing HR professionals today.
