People Advisor
Our client is a global provider of services across the creative and media industries. As the organisation continues to grow, they are investing in strengthening their People function to ensure efficient, high-quality HR support across their UK operations. This role will be providing consistent, responsive, and compliant people services on the ground in their Brighton offices, being the face of the day to day HR support for all stakeholders.
About the Role
The People Advisor plays a key role in delivering operational HR support, ensuring employee processes run smoothly through systems such as Workday. This position focuses on handling employee queries, supporting core HR processes, and maintaining accurate data and compliance standards. You’ll be the go to person for initial HR queries, whilst having the support of the wider People team with any escalations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update Workday, ensuring accurate and timely data management
- Manage and respond to HR queries via a centralised inbox, escalating where necessary
- Produce reports and analyse HR data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Manage queries through the Workday case management system within SLAs
- Support onboarding, offboarding, payroll, and general HR administration
- Assist with recruitment processes, including scheduling interviews, preparing offers, and managing documentation
- Support employee relations matters where required
- Maintain HR documentation, policies, and templates in line with legislation
- Ensure compliance with HR administration processes (personnel files, contracts, absence tracking, etc.)
- Conduct Right to Work checks and ensure visa compliance
- Promote employee self-service tools and HR systems usage
- Collaborate with internal HR teams to resolve complex or policy-related queries
- Support performance management and employee development processes
About You
We’re looking for a proactive and organised HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can manage a high volume of varied tasks. You’ll be someone who is confident working with senior level stakeholders and has high attention to detail. You’ll be in the office with the team 2-3 days a week, so you need to be someone who is happy to be hands on!
Candidate Requirements
- 2-4 years’ experience in a Human Resources role
- Experience using Workday (including case management and self-service tools)
- Degree in a relevant field or CIPD qualification (preferred)
- Strong IT skills, including Google Suite and Excel
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across all levels
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving abilities
- Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage workload effectively
- Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development
- Fluent in English (additional languages are advantageous)
