Senior Compensation Manager
Overview
This role sits at the intersection of strategy and execution, partnering closely with leadership to shape and deliver scalable pay programs. You’ll operate as a key advisor, translating business needs into practical, data-driven compensation decisions while navigating complex and evolving scenarios.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a strategic partner to leadership teams, advising on pay decisions aligned to performance, growth, and market positioning
- Design and manage core compensation frameworks across salary, bonus, and longer-term reward structures
- Lead key annual cycles (reviews, increases, incentive planning), ensuring consistency and clear differentiation based on performance
- Evaluate nuanced compensation cases and recommend balanced, commercially sound outcomes
- Support organizational changes, new role creation, and workforce planning through tailored compensation guidance
- Analyze external benchmarks and internal data to maintain competitive and equitable pay practices
- Own job structuring methodologies, ensuring clarity and scalability across roles and levels
- Build models and insights to forecast cost impact, support planning, and guide decision-making
- Partner cross-functionally to align stakeholders and drive informed outcomes
- Contribute to reward programs involving equity or longer-term incentives, including planning and communication
- Ensure adherence to relevant pay regulations and internal governance standards
- Equip internal teams with clear guidance and education on compensation principles
- Continuously refine processes, tools, and frameworks to improve efficiency and impact
Profile
- Experience operating in complex, fast-moving environments with exposure to senior stakeholders
- Strong foundation in compensation program design and delivery
- Advanced analytical capability with confidence working from raw data to insight
- High proficiency in spreadsheet modeling and data tools
- Familiarity with HR systems and compensation platforms (any modern tools environment)
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and simplify complex topics
- Detail-oriented with sound judgment and problem-solving ability
- Comfortable balancing multiple priorities in a dynamic setting
- Solid understanding of compensation-related compliance considerations
