Compensation: $100-$150 per hour
Reporting To: Head of HR / Executive Leadership Team
About the Opportunity
Our client is a growing, founder-led organization with approximately 100 employees and ambitious growth plans. They are seeking an experienced, hands-on HR Generalist to provide support during a period of transition and continued expansion.
This role requires a seasoned HR professional who can operate independently, handle sensitive and confidential matters with discretion, and quickly become a trusted partner to leadership. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys building structure where needed, and is comfortable owning projects from start to finish.
Position Summary
The HR Generalist will support a broad range of human resources activities, including employee relations, performance management, talent initiatives, HR operations, and special projects. This individual will work closely with senior leaders and serve as a key resource for both employees and management.
Success in this role requires strong judgment, professionalism, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a trusted HR partner to leaders and employees across the organization.
- Manage sensitive and confidential employee matters with discretion and professionalism.
- Support employee relations investigations, policy interpretation, and conflict resolution.
- Advise managers on performance management, employee development, and organizational effectiveness.
- Lead and execute HR projects and initiatives across multiple functional areas.
- Support onboarding, workforce planning, talent management, and HR operations activities.
- Identify opportunities to improve HR processes and increase organizational effectiveness.
- Develop and maintain HR documentation, policies, and procedures.
- Partner with business leaders to support organizational growth and change initiatives.
- Assist with reporting, metrics, presentations, and other business-driven HR needs.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience in Generalist, HR Business Partner, or HR Management roles.
- Strong foundation across multiple HR disciplines, including employee relations, performance management, talent management, and HR operations.
- Experience supporting senior leaders and managing highly confidential information.
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership of priorities with minimal oversight.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Preferred Experience
- Experience working in founder-led, entrepreneurial, or high-growth organizations.
- Background supporting organizations through periods of change, growth, or transition.
- Demonstrated ability to improve processes and create scalable HR practices.
- Comfortable operating in lean teams where flexibility and adaptability are critical.
